28 NOV - Fixtures and Referees for 16 December now added - The Fixtures and Referees for 16 December have now been added to the website. Home clubs should contact their opponents and Referees where shown ASAP.

25 NOV - CBC PREMIER - Intake put skids under Sportsman, Pheasant leave it late to pip Woodseats and Sampson to strong for Youth - After ascending to the top of the CBC Premier Division last week, Dave Knaggs’ Redmires side retain the top spot after coming from behind to defeat Renishaw Rangers 5-3 away from home. Renishaw looked on course for a maximum point haul as they were two goals to the good at half time thanks to Ross Taylor and top scorer Robin Holmes who produced a delightful chip over the visiting keeper. Yet Redmires are in a good vein of form recently and they answered back with five second half goals from Chis Cottyn, Jake Gamban, Andy Bath, Jon Wall and Ross Thompson. Lee Walker headed home a third for Renishaw late in the second half but the game was long gone by then.

Two points behind and with two games in hand is the ominous sight of Stannington Village as they recorded a 6-1 away success at Chapeltown RBL. Village opened the scoring when Joe Barker was brought down and Charlie Hobson made no mistake from the spot. Jimmy Middleton added a second from a Shaun Flynn (right) pass and giant defender Dan Green smashed home the third from close range. Legion responded and reduced the arrears by half time when Ben Wright drove at the Stannington defence for veteran Paul Dawson to slam the ball home. The home side thought they had a penalty of their own when Ryan Robinson’s fiercely struck free-kick was handled in the area but the referee said no. Three second half goals for Village put the game beyond doubt however; with Flynn hitting a brace and Arnie Grayson also on target.

Strachan Sampson (left) hit a hat-trick for Oughtibridge WM as they saw off Wickersley 5-2 at the War Memorial Ground. Wickersley’s Kris Lee-Green scored the only goal of the first half but Oughtibridge levelled with a superbly executed overhead kick from Sampson. Dan Broomhead played in Sampson for his and Oughtibridge’s second to give the home side the lead before two home penalties put the home side in command thanks to Chas Tunnard and the sparkling Sampson. An own goal reduced the lead to 4-2 but Broomhead had the last say with a fifth home goal and his first for the club.

Wadsley Bridge Pheasant are still in touch after a late winner saw them edge past Woodseats Club, 2-1. Josh Statham gave Pheasant the lead after half hour when he reacted first to a bouncing ball but Club weren’t out of it, and levelled matters with twenty minutes to go when Lewis Whittaker volleyed home. However, the home side kicked on and got the all-important winner when Statham was upended in the area and Jordan Livett stepped up to convert from twelve yards.

The final CBC Premier game of the day saw Norton Sportsman suffer a second successive loss as Intake Old Boys edged a topsy turvy game by the odd goal in five. Norton took the lead when Michael Gibbons intercepted a back pass to slot the ball home but the visitors levelled when Norton’s Chris Lewis headed into his own net under pressure. A superb long range strike from Intake’s Jonny Roper put his side in front and that could have been extended if Mark West’s penalty hadn’t crashed against the crossbar. With five minutes to go Chris Winters cut infield and fired Norton level, but Intake grabbed the winner two minutes from time when Elliot Coles and Harry Chamberlain combined for the latter to fire home the game winner.

25 NOV - DIVISION 1 - Forum toppled by Crookes as the chasers make up ground - Division One's last unbeaten record no more after Crookes FC took the points with a 3-2 away success at leaders Forum. James Pemberton and player-manager Jamie Smith netted for the home side but Crookes took the points thanks to strikes from Matt Cowen, Joel Purkiss and Peter Smith (right). That result enabled second-placed Cotts FC to reduce the gap to eight points as they shutout bottom placed Mosborough Reds 3-0. Alex Calton, Kieran Patterson and Harry Shaw all finding the net against a Reds side still looking for their first win in the middle division this season.

Bunching up are Southey Social as they recorded a 2-1 success at Civil Sports A. After an even first twenty-five minutes, Scott Ellis broke the deadlock with a well taken effort into the top corner and Southey’s lead was doubled when Byron Mullen got onto the end of a through ball and slotting the ball past the advancing home custodian. Civil piled the pressure in the second half and were rewarded when player-manager Gary Eades reduced the arrears but Southey took the points thanks to keeper Callum Jones thwarting the home side time and time in the final stages.

Another side staying on the fringes of the promotion places are Cobden View after they took a pulsating game at Norton Oaks B; 4-3. Oaks took the lead when Joe Lawson rose highest at a corner to head home but Cobden hit back immediately thanks to a Tim Pitt (left) strike and the same player finished a fine move to give the visitors a half time lead. Lawson’s second of the morning drew Oaks back on parity before Alex Butt and Ben Bell handed a two goal breathing space for Cobden. Nathan Davies reduced the deficit to one goal and Oaks then pushed for a fourth which Cobden resisted to take away the points.

25 NOV - DIVISION 2 - Colley held by Chantrey and Cadbury crumble at Woodhouse - Mosborough Whites head the pack in Division Two by means of more goals scored, and they edged another close game when seeing off Brinsworth Phoenix 4-3. Phoenix started the brighter in the game and deserved went into a two goal lead thanks to a couple of high quality finishes from Jack Hawkes. Julian Lawrence pulled one back with a well taken chip and then Luke Walker (right) scored his first of the game with a low effort from the edge of the area. Walker then put his side ahead and then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot. Still Phoenix refused to buckle and Hawkes got his own hat-trick from the penalty spot to make a one goal game but Whites held on.

Sheffield Sixs are now the League’s only unbeaten side and they are ready to pounce if Whites slip as they recorded their sixth win in as many games when coming from behind to see off Beighton Magpies 4-1. Lewis Hunt gave the Magpies a second minute lead before Sixs turned it all on its head when goals from Simon Howe and Liam Davies put them in front, and there had been only ten minutes played at this point. Goals either side of the interval from Davies again and Nathan Zielosko extended the lead and Magpies day was summed up when Lee Hackett was dismissed with half an hour left to play.

Another side who had to work hard for their points was Boynton Sports as they squeaked past Shakey in another 4-3 game. Billy Hilbert put Shakey ahead but Marcus Gordon levelled for Boynton after a Simon Marsden set piece. Ricardo Stewart put the away side ahead from the spot and then Jermaine Modeste put them 3-1 ahead at the break when he tapped in a Gordon corner. Andrew Redfern pulled one back for the home side from the penalty spot, but Gordon restored the two goal advantage with Boynton’s second penalty of the game. A fantastic header by Hilbert, his second of the game, reduced it again but the visitors managed to see it out.

Cadbury slipped to a 3-1 loss at Woodhouse Juniors which put a spoke in their promotion aspirations. Josh Grant scored Cadbury’s goal but they were undone by a brace from Lee Williams and a single effort from Alex Philpott. Free-scoring Colley were pegged back when they shook hands with hosts Woodseats Chantrey on a hard thought 1-1 draw. An own goal gave Colley the lead but the pressure told when Luke Simmonds curled home the equaliser. Whilst Wadsley Horse and Jockey rode away with the points against a hapless Civil Sports B, winning 7-0 thanks to goals from hat-trick hero Reece James, a double from Niall Wilkinson and single strikes by Lewis Smith and Elliott Willis.

23 NOV - SUNDAY CUPS - A Cup away day for our clubs - All five of our clubs remaining in the County FA Sunday Cups quarter finals have been handed away ties. In the Sunday Senior Cup, Stannington Village have been handed a tough tie at Rotherham Sunday League's Joker FC and Woodseats Club travel to the Terminus Tavern side that put out Renishaw Rangers in the previous round. In the Sunday Junior Cup, holders Royal Earl travel to the AFC Schoolboy side that edged out Sheffield Sixs in the previous round and Crookes FC go to the Wombwell Main Youth side that beat Cobden View on penalties. Southey Social travel to the Cawthorne side that narrowly beat Beighton Magpies in Round 2. The ties involving our clubs are: Sunday Senior Cup: Joker v Stannington Village; Terminus Tavern v Woodseats Club Sunday Junior Cup: Cawthorne v Southey Social; Wombwell Main Youth v Crookes FC; AFC Schoolboy v Royal Earl. All ties are due to be played on 16 Dec.

18 NOV - SUNDAY SENIOR CUP - Village people see off Pheasant, and Owen at the double to see Woodseats through - Stannington Village won at fellow Blades Super Draw CBC Premier side Wadsley Bridge Pheasant to reach the Sunday Senior Cup Quarter Finals for the fourth time. Stannington had beaten Pheasant in the league the week before and they took an early lead again when Jimmy Middleton was bundled over in the box and Charlie Hobson smashed home the penalty. They doubled it just a few minutes later when Joe Barker and Lee Johnstone combined to set Shaun Flynn up to sidefoot home, but Pheasant got a foothold in the game when Lewis Twibell scored just before the break. Pheasant dominated possession in the second half, but they couldn’t find a way past the Village defence a second time and Alex Torr produced a sublime lob over the keeper to wrap up a 3-1 win for Stannington for a second successive week.

Stannington are joined by Woodseats Club after a Nick Owen (left) double and one each for Jordan Beecch and James Leesley saw them come from two down to beat Conisbrough Conyers 4-2. Despite a Rikki Davidson strike and a Robin Holmes penalty, Terminus Tavern proved to be the end of Renishaw Rangers journey as Tavern won 7-2.

18 NOV - SUNDAY JUNIOR CUP - Woodhouse hit by Damms flood, whilst Towey and Cowen trebles see Earl and Crookes through – Division One Southey Social went through to the Sunday Junior Cup Quarter Finals as a Ryan Damms quartet of goals proved too much for Division Two Woodhouse Juniors. Although Damms first was soon cancelled out by George Leesley, Damms second put Southey back in front. Ryan Keeney added a third with a 25 yard volley, before good work by Byron Mullen enabled Damms to complete a first half hat-trick. After the break, John Mellor and Scott Ellis added two more for Southey before Damms rounded the keeper for his fourth. Carlton Carty added two to take Southey’s tally to nine, before Leon Cheslett completed the scoring with a second for Woodhouse

Joining them in the Quarter Finals is holders Royal Earl after a Mike Towey (right) hat-trick helped them to a narrow 4-3 victory over The Pewter Pot. Earl took a fifth minute lead with a Steve Brammer penalty only for Pewter Pot to level with a penalty of their own just before half time. Earl were awarded another penalty soon after the break, but this time Brammer hit a post. Towey did manage to put Earl back in front again, but once again the visitors levelled the scores. With just three minutes remaining Towey headed Earl in front a third time only for the visitors to hit back immediately, but with extra time looming Towey grabbed his third to finally settle the tie. Matt Cowen was another to score three as Division One Crookes reached the quarter finals for a second successive season with a 5-0 victory over Division Two Boynton Sports. Crookes others came from Pete Smith and Matt Roney.

It was the end of the road for last season's losing finalists Mosborough Whites with their 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Legends and Sheffield Sixs went out in a nine goal thriller at AFC Schoolboy. After Ben Bell and Joe Taylor goals had given Cobden View the lead at Wombwell Main Youth the home side hit back to take the game to extra time and penalty shoot-out, which Wombwell won 7-6. Despite Jon Dolan and Stef Flint goals, Cotts also went out at Eckington U21, 4-2 after extra time.

18 NOV - CBC PREMIER - Redmires go top with a flood of goals, but just three points separate the top seven – in the League, both Jon Wall (left) and Ross Thompson hit hat-tricks as Redmires went top of the CBC Premier with a crushing 14-1 victory over Chapeltown RBL. Despite Joe Moorhouse briefly bringing Chapeltown level, they were no match for a rampant Redmires, who’s other goals came from Tom Whiting and George Rudd doubles and one each for Jake Gamban, Dale White and Conall Jacklin.

There are just three points separating the top seven, including Oughtibridge WM after a Ross Brown double helped them beat previous leaders Norton Sportsman 3-0. Full back Harley Scholey put Adam Thomas through for him to square the ball for Chas Tunnard to give Oughtibridge a half time lead. Tunnard turned provider for Brown to score their second and Brown added his second to complete the scoring.

Wickersley Youth are also in the top seven despite being held to a draw by Handsworth Old Crown. Brad Carroll put Wickersley ahead midway through the first half, but Handsworth came back hard and it took several good saves to keep Wickersley ahead until veteran Keiran Gallagher finally netted Handsworth’s deserved equaliser.

18 NOV - DIVISION 1 - Sherratt hits four to increase Forum's lead, and Civil Sports A climb 5 places - Jav Sherratt scored 4 and Antony Holmes 3 as Forum went 11 points clear with an 11-0 victory at Norton Oaks A. The rather one-sided affair saw Matty Ord with two and Josh Scofield and Nat Reid hit Forum’s others.

Despite Alix Sorsby giving the home side the lead, Tom Bamford and Andrzej Gordon-Hides doubles and one from Illack Katongo Chiti saw Civil Sports A climb five places with a 5-1 victory at Mosborough Reds.

18 NOV - DIVISION 2 - Dempsey treble helps Colley to climb, but Cadbury miss the chance to go top as Civil get their first point - Regan Dempsey netted a hat-trick to help Colley to a 6-0 victory over Woodseats Chantrey and up four places into the promotion race. It was possibly Colley’s best performance of the season. Chris Onja and Faisal Miladi strikes gave Colley a two goal half-time lead. Miladi’s second and Dempsey’s treble saw Colley completely dominate the second half.

Cadbury missed the chance to go top when they had to come from three down to draw at a Civil Sports B claiming their first point of the season. A Connor Ashforth double and one from James Greenwood had Civil three ahead midway through the second half, but Tom Wilson pulled one back with a diving header and after a handball on the line, Jacob Beech netted Cadbury’s second from the penalty spot and with ten minutes remaining a Scott Bottom cross deceived the keeper to equalise.

Brinsworth Phoenix missed the chance to go fourth when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Shakey. After James Marston had given Shakey the lead, Daniel Commander got onto the end of a Karl Howden cross to bring Phoenix level at the break. Both sides had chances in the second half, but it was Shakey that managed to take one when Wes Fidler scored the winner.

11 NOV - CBC PREMIER - A Sunday to remember as the goals flow in - Our clubs marked Remembrance Sunday by having a minute's silence before each game (pictured are Mosborough Whites and Beighton Magpies either side of referee Ken Nicholson) and their respect for the occasion was rewarded with a flood of goals with the 14 games in three divions producing 92 goals. The four CBC Premier games produced 27 of them with Intake Old Boys and Woodseats Club leading the way by sharing 10 of them. Also pictured right is Chapeltown RBL's keeper Ben Palmer just before he laid a wreath on behalf of his club.

Woodseats Club looked well in control at half time when they led 4-1 but Intake showed incredible resolve to take a share of the spoils with a brilliant second half comeback. Elliott Coles netted a brace for Intake as did Lewis Whittaker for Club whilst a long range screamer from Josh Barringham ripped into the Club net with Shaun Garwell also netting. Liam Bryan, Dimtri White and Sam Read found the net for Club, but Chris Bell volleyed home after a goalmouth scramble in the final minute to give Intake a well-earned point.

Norton Sportsman went top for the first time with a 4-2 victory over Wickersley Youth. Brad Bowland gave Sportsman the lead when he latched onto a through ball, but the visitors were level at the interval thanks to a delightful finish from Brad Carroll. Two goals in the early stages of the second half from Bowland’s second of the game and a clever flick from Callum Frith seemed to have put the home side in charge but Michael Cuckson pulled the visitors back within one. However, with Wickersley chasing the equalising goal, Sportsman secured the win when Danny Rogers stabbed home from close range on a counter attack.

Only one point behind are defending champions Stannington Village, who showed their determination to hold on to the title by inflicting a first defeat of the season 3-1 on the Wadsley Bridge Pheasant they meet again next week in the Sunday Senior Cup. Lewis Dickinson gave Village the lead when he latched onto a diagonal pass from Shaun Flynn (right) and finished excellently from an acute angle. The same two combined for the second goal, Dickinson teeing up Flynn whose first time effort found the net. A third followed straight after the half time restart, Jimmy Middleton’s shot was well saved by the Pheasant keeper but Callum Pinhorn put the rebound away. Joe Slater tucked away a penalty for Pheasant but it could have been more convincing had Stannington taken chances offered up.

Up three places is Redmires after they recovered from 2-1 down against a patched up Handsworth Old Crown, to eventually take the points with a 5-2 away win. Goals from Ben Shackshaft and Liam Greenfield sandwiched a Jon Wall effort to hand Old Crown the lead but Dave Knaggs’ side dominance in the game eventually told as they hit four goals without response to secure three points. Andy Bath, Chris Cottyn, Jake Schofield and an own goal proved the difference in the end.

11 NOV - DIVISION 1 - Forum make it a magnificent 7 -  Forum maintained their 8 point lead by making it seven wins out of seven with a 4-2 home win over Mosborough Reds. Two goals in the opening twelve minutes from Josh Gibson and Andy Harrison put the leaders in command early and it became 3-0 when Antony Holmes (left) netted with eleven first half minutes left. An own goal in the opening five minutes of the second half gave Reds a lifeline but Matty Ord restored Forum’s three goal lead just after the hour. Alix Sorsby drilled home a superb effort from the edge of the area after a well worked Reds short corner routine with sixteen minutes left but Forum kept their perfect record.

Michael Blythen’s hat-trick for Cotts ensured they remained second as they edged past Southey Social by the odd goal in five. Blythen put his side two goals to the good at the interval but Ryan Damms continued his own personal goalscoring streak when he netted on the hour. Southey ramped up the pressure with Kieran Hopkinson twice going close for an equaliser, first seeing his free-kick being brilliantly tipped onto the bar by the Cotts custodian and then having an acrobatic overhead kick headed off the line. Blythen (right) beat the offside trap to put the home side 3-1 ahead with and despite Ryan Whitney pulling a second goal back for the visitors almost immediately, Cotts hung for the win.

Crookes leapfrogged Royal Earl by inflicting a second home defeat of the season on them. After going behind, Earl responded with three goals of their own thanks to Sam Smith, Mike Towey and Billy Wright, but in a game that was a credit to the league as a whole, Crookes took the points on the day with Liam Cartledge and Matt Cowen both netting doubles.

Cobden View climbed three places thanks to a 3-2 success at Norton Oaks A. After a goalless first half, Brad Hardy gave Oaks the lead on the hour but Cobden replied with three of their own thanks to a brace from Joe Taylor (one from the penalty spot) and Mike McVay. Martin Lee pulled one back with five minutes to go to set up the grandstand finish but Oaks couldn’t find a leveller.

Norton Oaks B did better by sharing 10 goals with Civil Sports A. Oaks were always in the lead but couldn’t hold for a much needed first win of the season as Civil grabbed their equaliser in the final minute. Nasa Meah led the scoring for Oaks with a couple and these were added to by efforts from Jack Peake, Oli West and Jordan Holland. Civil played their part and had a couple from James Brown, and single strikes from Leon Howarth, Josh Corker and player-manager Gary Eades hitting the home net.

11 NOV - DIVISION 2 - Howard shows Whites the way to the top after Cadbury melt at Jockey  - A Chris Howard hat-trick helped Mosborough Whites defeat Beighton Magpies 6-1 and to the top of Division Two after previous leaders Cadbury suffered defeat at Wadsley Horse & Jockey. The young and spirited Beighton Magpies side struck first with a Danny King bullet, but two long throws by Jordan Meadows were met by Julian Lawrence and Chris Howard to put Whites ahead. The second half saw Whites take control and as well as Howard hitting two more, Luke Walker, and Meadows added two more, and had it not been for goalkeeper Ryan Featherstone playing his first game in two years, Whites would have had many more. Cadbury as they slipped to third after a 5-1 loss at Wadsley Horse & Jockey who rode away the points. Reece James and George Scott both notched doubles for Jockey with a penalty from Lewis Smith completing their nap hand; making Richard Hales’ effort for Cadbury just a mere consolation.

In fourth place is Boynton Sports after their 3-1 win at Woodseats Chantrey. A superb curling effort from Ricardo Stewart gave Boynton a first half lead, but the home side levelled in the second half when Rhys Oakes centred for Brad Gray to head home. Marcus Gordon restored Boynton’s lead within minutes and the win was secure when Curtis Priday’s free-kick found the net via a Chantrey deflection.

Colley were the day's biggest scorers with an 8-4 win at a Civil Sports B still looking for their first point. Alex Cowlishaw can count himself unlucky after hitting a hat-trick for Civil and Joe Taylor added another but they were undone as both Chris Fowler (left) and Danny Parker returned to Green Lane to score a brace apiece, whilst Billy Thorley, Faisal Miladi, Ragen Dempsey and Matt Jebson netted for the visitors who recovered from 4-2 down at one point.

Brinsworth Phoenix gained their first away win, 2-1 at Shakey. Karl Fox put Brinsworth Phoenix ahead from the penalty spot, only for the home side to be on level terms at the interval when Shakey’s Andrew Redfern netted a spot kick of their own. The game winner came from Phoenix’s Jack Hawkes’ whose superb run was capped with the coup de grace and a cool finish past the home keeper.

10 NOV - TWENTYTWO CUP - Quarter Final Cup draw - The draw for the League Twentytwo Cup Quarter Finals was made by The Star's James Shield and Yorkshire Post's Leon Wobschall (pictured right) at Bramall Lane prior to last night's Sheffield derby and it saw holders Wadsley Bridge Pheasant drawn at home against semi-finalists last season,  Division One Crookes FC. Last season's beaten finalists and winners in 2017, Handsworth Old Crown will face a very difficult trip to Stannington Village, whilst former holders Redmires entertain Division One leaders Forum. The winners of the delayed tie between Division Two Boynton Sports and CBC Premier Intake Old Boys wil travel to Sunday Junior Cup holders, Division One Royal Earl. Ties will be played in December and January on dates to be arranged. All clubs will be advised when dates are published.

4 NOV - SUNDAY JUNIOR CUP - Boynton have a Ball to see off Cubs - Jake Ballinger (left) hit a hat-trick as Boynton Sports won their delayed Sunday Junior Cup Round 3 tie 6-3 at Brierley Cubs U21s to make it a total of 9 of our teams in the last 16 and set up an all-Blades Super Draw League tie at Crookes. An entertaining game saw the young fast Brierley Cubs side take an early lead before being pegged back by a great strike by Lee Jordan. Boynton then took control and scored three goals before half time through Jake Ballinger from a Ben Jordan assist and then another Jake Ballinger goal following good work by Sean Woodward. Marcus Gordon then cut in onto his favoured left foot to rifle the ball home. With twenty minutes remaining Brierley scored two quick goals, but with 5 minutes to go, Boynton and Ricardo Stewart netted a penalty before Jake Ballinger rounded off his hat-trick with moments to go.

4 NOV - TWENTYTWO CUP - Crookes see off Oughtibridge, while holders sneak through - The Twentytwo Cup  saw just one shock with Division One Crookes beating CBC Premier Oughtibridge WM 2-1. Oughtibridge should have scored when Chas Tunnard and Adam Thomas went close, but they were dealt a blow after 10 minutes when they were reduced to 10 men after Evan Watson was shown a straight red. Crookes took full advantage and 10 minuutes later took the lead through Joel Putrkiss. Oughtibridge responded and Ollie Black quickly hit an equaliser with a superb strike. The second half saw Oughtibridge make light of their numerical disadvantage, but Adam Thomas headed over from a yard out and Ross Brown fired over when he looked certain to score and those misses proved crucial as Crookes went back in front with a Matt Cowen penalty. Oughtibridge almost forced extra time when they hit the bar in last minute, but Crookes held on.

There was almost a bigger shock with Alex Butt giving Division One Cobden View a half time lead against the holders Wadsley Bridge Pheasant, but the holders hit back and levelled when Dylan Parrott put Ash Simpson through to equalise and it was Simpson again put through by Luke Beedham to hit the winner. Last season's beaten finalists Handsworth Old Crown also had a close call before a Matt Ellis (right) double saw Crown through 3-2 at Division One Civil Sports A. Crown went two up through a Jordan Stocks corner that went straight in and Ellis’ first. Crown were in control until Callum Stewart pulled one back for Civil and they deservedly equalised through Thomas Bamford. Crown responded though and five minutes from time Ellis headed the winner.

The all CBC Premier tie saw a Lewis Dickinson treble help Stannington Village overcome Norton Sportsman 5-2. Stannington took the lead when Shaun Flynn got away down the left and squared for Dickinson to smash home with his left foot, but Brad Bowland volleyed home a Michael Gibbons cross to equalise. Stannington went back in front when Charlie Hobson was brought down for a penalty and he stepped up himself to score. It was 3-1 by half time after a long throw by Bill Green was flicked on for Dickinson to finish at the back post. Bowland hit his second from a James Archer cross soon after the break and Sportsman pushed hard for an equaliser, but Dickinson completed his hat-trick with 15 mins to go and Stannington hit a fifth with a 25 yard shot from Hobson.

Redmires comfortably saw off Division One Cotts 8-1. A goalkeeping error allowed Jon Dolan to give Cotts a surprise lead, but Redmires proved too strong for them and both Tom Whiting and Jake Gamban hit trebles along with a Dave Knaggs header and a Jon Wall strike. Two more hat-tricks came for Antony Holmes and Callum Mawbey as Division One leaders Forum won 9-2 at Division Two Colley. James Pemberton, Jav Sherratt and Phil Nshindano netted Forum’s others, whilst Billy Thorley and Chris Belshaw netted for Colley. The all-Division One affair saw Royal Earl progress 2-0 at Mosborough Reds expense. Spencer Goff hit the bar early on and Mike Towey headed the rebound over. Earl took the lead before half time after a long ball by Gareth Simons was headed into his own goal by Alix Sorsby. In the second half Earl missed a few chances before Mike Towey clinched the tie when he headed in from a corner.

4 NOV - CBC PREMIER - Houghton and Thornton at the double to make leaders take a tumble - Woodseats Club missed the chance to increase their lead at the top of the CBC Premier when they slipped to their second home defeat, 5-3 at the hands of Wickersley Youth. Wickersley took the lead when Ross Johnson converted Adam Daughtrey’s cross and they doubled it when Ben Thornton gave Drew Houghton (right) the chance to score. Houghton made it 3-0 before the break with a cool finish and it was 4-0 soon after the break thanks to Thornton thunderbolt. Jake Slater and Sam Read pulled two back for Woodseats, but any thoughts of a comeback were shattered when Thornton scored with a free kick. Lewis Whitaker netted a third for Woodseats but it was just a consolation. Renishaw Rangers had five different scorers as they moved out of the bottom three with a 5-0 victory over a Chapeltown RBL missing key players. Robin Holmes, Ross Taylor, Ricky Davidson, Ash Longstaff and Ryan Hancock netted for Renishaw and RBL keeper Ben Palmer made some magnificent saves to keep the score down. .

4 NOV - DIVISION 1 - Damms and Lees trebles help secure wins for Southey and Oaks A -  A Ryan Damms treble helped Southey Social claim victory over Norton Oaks B, but Oaks A side had a better day as a Martyn Lees treble helped them to a narrow win at Ranch. Southey started the game on front foot and some lovely football created the first when a Mullen cross found Damms to head home. Southey continued to push Norton back and was soon rewarded as Damms raced onto a through ball to lob the keeper for his second. A third was soon in bag with Byron Mullen thundering a strike home. Norton lifted their game and Jordan Holland and Nasa Meah pulled two back, and only some great saves by Callum Jones stopped them equalising. Southey picked back up and Damms completed his hat trick and Carlton Carty hit their fifth. Meah greabbed another for Norton, but the last word came from Southey’s new signing Keiron Hopkinson who produced an amazing chip over the keeper from the halfway line.

Norton Oaks A grabbed a second away win of the season with a narrow 4-3 victory at Ranch. Oaks took the lead with a Martyn Lee header from a corner, before keeper Corey Hawksworth's clearance went straight to a Matt Jacobs who finished into the open net to make it all square at the break. Mitch Simnett gave Ranch the lead before Ben Birtles immediately equalised shooting from the centre circle retake. Lee then scored twice when running through on goal to complete his hat-trick & put Oaks 4-2, but they had a nervous finish after Jay Lindsay netted a third for Ranch.

4 NOV - DIVISION 2 - Mosborough Reds up to second, with Magpies close behind - Luke Walker, Jack Bennett, Danny State and Morgan Foy goals gave Mosborough Whites a 4-0 victory at Brinsworth Phoenix to lift them up to second place and just a point behind the leaders. Level on points with Whites is Beighton Magpies after their 5-2 home win over Cilvil Sports B. Ryan Haywood shocked Beighton by giving Civil the lead – the first goal Beighton had conceded at home, but first half goals from Lee Hackett, Joshua Butcher and Liam Edge put Beighton in control. Stefan Hadfield put away two great chances for Magpies in the second half before Haywood added his second for Civil with the last kick of the game.

Woodhouse Juniors took a second minute lead at Woodseats Chantrey when Lee Williams nicked the ball off a defender before calmly finishing. Billy Wakefield pounced on a poor backpass by Rhys Oakes before rounding the keeper to make it 2-0. Chantrey hit back before half time when Kyle Thomson’s through ball by Kyle Thomson allowed Charlie Hawkins to score. George Wood restored Woodhouse’s two goal lead when he met a free kick at the back post and Jay Erving-Chipperfield made it 4-1 when he tapped home after a fumble by the keeper. Chantrey didn’t give up though and Hawkins crossed for Brad Gray to score with a terrific overhead kick and in the final minute Hawkins squared for Gray to score his second, but Woodhouse held on to win 4-3.

1 NOV - SUNDAY SENIOR CUP - Pheasant to meet Stannington in last 16, Woodseats at home, but Renishaw are away  - Wadsley Bridge Pheasant and Stannington Village will meet two successive weeks after they were drawn together in the last 16 of the Sunday Senior Cup. Woodseats Club will entertain the Conisbrough Conyers side that won at Oughtibridge WM in the last round, whilst Renishaw Rangers travel to Sheffield Imperial side Terminus Tavern. 1 NOV - SUNDAY JUNIOR CUP - Southey to entertain Woodhouse, but all the rest stay apart - Division One Southey Social will entertain Division Two Woodhouse Juniors in the last 16 and Crookes could meet Boynton Sports if Boynton win their delayed tie, but all the other seven clubs have been drawn apart. Holders Royal Earl are at home to The Pewter Pot, but all the rest are away, with last season's finalists Mosborough Whites travelling to Sheffield Legends.
