30 SEP – Fixtures and Referees for all October now shown on the website The Fixtures and Referees for all October are now shown in the Fixtures section. Home teams must confirm the details with both their opponents and Referees as soon as possible.

24 SEP - CBC PREMIER – Legion go clear at the top as Joker topple Stannington and Sixs hold Pheasant – With champions Stannington Village suffering a first defeat of the season in a thriller at Joker Wickersley Youth, Chapeltown RBL went 3 points clear at the top after defeating fellow newly promoted side Eckington.

Chapeltown RBL made it 9 points from 9 winning their first home game of the season against last year’s promotion rivals Eckington. In form striker Jed Phillips opened the scoring after just 4 minutes. A clever pass by Joe Long found Phillips, who flicked the ball over the defender and fired home right footed. Phillips grabbed his 7th goal of the season ten minutes later, when Luis Afonso-Ferreira passed to him in the area, Phillips flicked the ball up and then lobbed the oncoming keeper in off the crossbar.

Eckington pulled one back after 30 minutes when a parried shot from the keeper came back to Joel Cousins who calmly slotted home and rallied together to ask further questions of the RBL defence. The second half saw a flurry of corners and set pieces from the visitors, but the win was sealed when Brandon Whitfield’s inch perfect cross was superbly volleyed home by captain Josh Savage with 20 minutes left.

Joker Wickersley took the lead after 7 mins when Adam Daughtrey’s accurate free kick from outside the box found the head of Matt Claxton who guided his header into the top corner. The Stannington keeper then saved well from Nathan Taylor’s close range header and Taylor went close again when he lobbed the keeper only to see it bounce off the top of the cross bar. The Joker pressure finally brought their second when Claxton turned in the box to score his second into the bottom corner. Stannington pulled one back when Ben Cook produced a barnstorming run down the left before finding Joel Purkiss at the back post and he finished well in the far corner, but Joker regained their two goal lead before half-time when Daughtrey (left) smashed a blinder through the wall from a 30 yards free kick.

After the break, Stannington again reduced the arrears when a Jon Wall pass found a good run from Jack Holmes and he slid it home at the near post. Midway through the half, Owen Kelly crossed deep into the Stannington 6 yard box and Ben Thornton took the ball over the goal line to make it 4-2, but Stannington again hit back when another Wall pass found Charlie Hobson 10 yards out and he finished well in the bottom corner. Stannington tried to rescue their unbeaten record, but Joker held on to take all three points.

Sheffield Sixs picked up their first point of the season after a goalless draw with Wadsley Bridge Pheasant. As the scoreline suggests, it was game of few chances. Pheasant missed the first half’s only real chance and although they had plenty of possession after the break they failed to capitalise on it. They did come close though when Harry Holland’s 30yard screamer was brilliantly turned round by Sixs keeper to earn his side their first point.

24 SEP - DIVISION 1 – Boynton on top after taming Lions and Sheaf in full flow at Southey  – Boynton Sports stay top after making it 3 from 3 with a 4-2 victory at Mosborough Lions. Boynton went 2-0 up early doors when Lee Jordan (right) fired an arrow into the net and Curt Priday flicking one over the keeper. Isaac Reardon made it 3-0 shortly after half-time and Richie Atkins gave Boynton a 4 goal cushion. After Boynton made multiple changes, Lion took advantage with goals from Adam Pocock and Dan Beech, but the result was never really threatened.

AFC Dronfield make it 2 from 2 to stay in touch with a 4-0 victory over Mosborough Reds. In a goalless first half, after soaking up a lot of pressure, Mosborough thought Adam Lilley had given them the lead only for it to be disallowed for a foul on the keeper. The second half saw Dronfield turn up the heat and goals from Jackson Hassanyeh, Josh Sell and a brace from defender Andy Saynor saw them deserved winners to keep their perfect record. Sheaf House earned their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory at Southey Social. All the goals came in the first half with a Lestyn Jones double and one from Henry Bradshaw.

24 SEP - DIVISION 2 – Goals galore as Cueball take top spot after Wisewood hold Cotts  – Ater a day that saw the five games produce 34 goals, Cueball are the early leaders after demolishing fellow newcomers Steel City Dons 8-0. Travis Hodgson netted a hat-trick and Connor Ashforth grabbed two, with the others coming from Jack Bailey-Atkin, Dylan Goff and Matthew Cadman.

Previous leaders Cotts were held to a 4-4 draw by newcomers AFC Wisewood. Cotts took an early lead when a good move down the right and a quick cross allowed Andrew ‘BOB’ Swift to slip his marker and fire home under the keeper’s dive. Wisewood hit back to level through Thomson Cartledge and looked to be on course for three points when two defensive errors by Cotts allowed Charlie Beachell to give the hosts a 3-1 lead at the break. Cotts came out of the blocks firing and soon pulled one back when a Reece Rogers shot found the bottom corner, but another defensive error allowed Cartledge to restore Wisewood's two goal advantage. Chris Salt reduced those arrears, but soon after he clashed heads with a Wisewood defender a two inch gash needed Salt to go to hospital for stitches. When the game re-started, Cotts poured forward and finally got their reward when a goalmouth scramble saw the ball come back off the bar for Andy Saville to force home. Cotts were quick to praise Wisewood for their help with Chris Salt and his injury.

Another newcomer, Chapeltown FC had an impressive 7-0 victory at Winter Green. It was a terrific team performance by Chapeltown and they dominated the ball from start to finish with goals from a Dan Smith double, Josh Price, Jerome Price, Ben Smedley, Brandon Shaw and Luke Champion. Another newcomer, Brunsmeer AJW also had an impressive win, 6-1 over Norton Oaks. Doubles from Lee Clark and Brad Leather, plus others from Liam Hannah and Oliver Tracey.  Oaks consolation goal came when George Von Schreiber laid it off for Sam Wheeler to shoot from 25 yards and the keeper was unable to keep it out.

Royal Oak picked up their first point of the season by holding Wadsley FC to a 2-2 draw. Oak took a deserved lead when Liam Jones squared for Jack Larissey to score. Wadsley equalised when Jake Young’s 20 yard free kick was deflected past the keeper, before taking a half time lead through a Reece James volley. Oak pushed hard after the break and although Wadsley defended well they were always under pressure and despite Oak missing numerous chances, just before the end James Allen’s low ball into the area was deflected into his own goal by a defender to give Oak a deserved share of the points.

All ties are scheduled for Sunday 8 October.

17 SEP - SUNDAY TROPHY – Matt Ellis hits five as Reds lead the way as 15 teams go into the last 64 – Matt Ellis (right) scored five and Gaz Coddington three, Adam Lilley two and Jake Buchanan with one from just inside the opposition half as Mosborough Reds beat Brodsworth Welfare Social 11-0 to be the day’s biggest scorers in Round 1 of the County FA Sunday Trophy. Other big scorers were Water Tower, with seven different scorers, including a Jacob Rickards double in their 8-3 win at Rotherham's Bradgate, and Lee Clark and Charlie Wheatley also hitting two each as Brunsmeer AJW beat fellow Blades Super Draw side AFC Wisewood 8-1.

Norton Oaks also had a magnificent seven different scorers in their 7-1 victory over Cross Keys Wath, the best of them coming from Chris Pigott, and Sheffield South had five different scorers and an own goal in their 6-3 victory over Queens Head Hoyland. Rhema Obed netted twice as WH Crookes won 4-1 at Rotherham’s FC Mailcoach and Dan Beech scored both his sides goals as Mosborough Lions won 2-1 at Mexborough’s Caulfield. Michael Blythen was another to score both his sides goals, the second in the last few seconds as Cotts beat another Mexborough side Castle Bar.

Josh Price also scored two as Chapeltown FC came from two down to draw 3-3 with Kiveton Park, before Chapeltown won the penalty shoot-out 4-3 after two saves by keeper Jack Haslam allowed James Swann to score the winning penalty. It was almost identical at Boynton Sports as two Curtis Priday strikes helped them come back from two down to draw 3-3 against Doncaster’s Auckley FC. Priday should have won it with a third but missed a late penalty after Richie Atkins had been tripped in the box, but keeper Jenson Beever came to his rescue with two saves in the penalty shoot-out enabling Boynton to win 4-2 on penalties.

Another to win on penalties, 8-7, after a 2-2 draw was Wadsley FC at another Doncaster outfit, Hall Cross Rats. After falling behind, Jack Sanderson levelled for Wadsley and looked to have won it with Harry McClean’s strike, but their hosts scored a last minute equaliser. The penalty shoot-out saw Ellis Champion make the crucial save before Callum North scored the decisive penalty Not so lucky was Royal Oak (Dronfield) who went out 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the Imperial League’s Sheffield Phoenix.

Josh Jackson set Jubilee Rangers on their way to a 3-0 win at Balby Rec and Ross Dawson got AFC Dronfield’s first as last season’s finalists won 2-0 at Barnsley’s New Lodge. Tom Goldsack and an own goal saw Sheaf House’s through with a 2-1 victory over Beighton Magpies and Lewis Pierce netted Winter Green’s first as they beat Mexborough’s Ville FC 3-1, but two more of our teams went out, with Southey Social losing 6-4 at Thurnscoe Tap and Cueball losing 6-2 at home to Scawthorpe Herons, and It means the League will have 15 teams in the last 64.

17 SEP - CBC PREMIER – Phillips four takes Legion to the top, while Pheasant leave it Ruddy late – Jed Phillips (left) scored four as newly promoted went to the top with a comfortable 6-1 win over an FC Inter playing their first game of the season. The first chance of the game fell to Inter with Lewis Fox producing an excellent save, but it was Legion’s Brandon Whitfield that opened the scoring with a clean strike 25 yards out into the bottom corner. Jed Phillips then produced a master class in finishing. Luis Afonso-Ferreira saw his shot parried out and Phillips was on hand to apply the finish. Phillips then grabbed a second with a tidy finish inside the area, and on 42 minutes following good work from Josh Savage, Philips secured his hat trick with another first time finish. Five minutes into the second half a pinpoint Joe Long cross was headed home at the back post by Phillips for his 4th of the game and Legions 5th.  Their 6th came when Connor Tonge’s long clearance was brought down by the impressive Whitfield, who deservedly scored his second. Inter continued to rally and following a foul by Savage, Russ Westby scored a consolation penalty late on.

Another newly promoted side Eckington BFC got their first ever CBC Premier win with a second half Adam Sydall strike beating Sheffield Sixs 1-0 (Action from the game is right). Both sides found it hard to break down the defences and it was almost an hour before either keeper had to make a save. The winner came soon after when Sydall followed up after a first shot had been blocked.

The third newly promoted side, Woodman Intake didn't do as well as they slipped to a very late 3-2 defeat thanks to George Rudd's goal for a Wadsley Bridge Pheasant playing their first league game of the season. Dan Callow headed Pheasant into a first minute lead and despite Woodman having plenty of the game Robert Farrell doubled Pheasant’s lead before half-time. Woodman took the game to their hosts after the break and two Connor Williamson penalties saw them look to have taken a well deserved point until Rudd’s last minute winner.

Joker Wickersley Youth gained their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory at Oughtibridge WM. Both sides had early chances, but the game changed when Oughtibridge had a player dismissed. They held out until half-time, but the extra man finally took its toll and Joker took the lead with an Adam Daughtrey strike. Further pressure brought a second as Michael Cuckson’s long distance effort went in off the bar and Jordan Thomas completed the scoring with a chest and volley. It would have been more but for a string of good saves by Oughtibridge’s over-worked keeper.

17 SEP - DIVISION 1 – No games due to Sunday Trophy  – All Division 1 teams in the County FA Sunday Trophy.

17 SEP - DIVISION 2 – No games due to Sunday Trophy  – All Division 2 teams except Steel City Dons in the County FA Sunday Trophy.

12 SEP - TWENTYTWO LEAGUE CUP – Joker Wickersley v Chapeltown RBL is the only all-CBC Premier tie – The draw for Round 1 of the Twentytwo League Cup was made at Bramall Lane by former Blades striker Carl Asaba and United's Head of Marketing & Content, Eoin Doyle (pictured right). The draw saw just one all-CBC Premier tie, Joker Wickersley v Chapeltown RBL, but another top tie sees Division One leaders Boynto Sports entertain former holders Wadsley Bridge Pheasant. Holders Oughtibridge WM entertain Division Two leaders Cotts FC and last season's runners-up Stannington Village also entertain Division Two opponents in Royal Oak (Dronfield). All ties to be played on Sunday 1 October - the full draw is below:

TWENTYTWO CUP - ROUND 1 - AFC Dronfield v AFC Wisewood; Boynton Sports v WB Pheasant; Brunsmeer AJW v Mosborough Lions; Chapeltown FC v Jubilee Rangers; Eckington BFC v Water Tower; FC Inter v Cueball FC; Joker Wickersley Youth CC v Chapeltown RBL; Mosborough Reds v Woodman Intake; Norton Oaks v Sheffield Sixers; Oughtibridge WM v Cotts FC; Sheaf House v Royal Earl; Stannington Village v Royal Oak (Dronfield); WH Crookes v Sheffield South; Winter Green v Southey Social. Wadsley FC and newcomers Steel City Dons both receive a bye and will play a Division Two game that day instead.

10 SEP - SUNDAY SENIOR CUP – Eckington and Pheasant have big wins, but Legion just squeeze through – Eckington had seven different scorers as they won their first ever Sunday Senior Cup tie in style, 8-2, against an Innings team from Doncaster. Although Alistair Haydock’s early goal for Eckington was cancelled out by an equaliser for Innings, that was as good as it got for Innings as Eckington tore into them. Haydock restored Eckington’s lead with a terrific strike from the edge of the area and it was 3-1 when a Pat Stothard cross was turned into his own net by an Innings defender and a minute later Harry Bell made it 4-1 with a shot into the bottom corner. Just after the break Innings grabbed a second with a lob over the keeper, but Cam Evans quickly restored the three goal lead. James Savage tapped home Eckington’s sixth, before Joe Renshaw and Joel Cousins completed the scoring.

Another big winner was Wadsley Bridge Pheasant as a Kane Doughty (left) treble and a George Rudd double saw them very comfortable 8-1 winners over another Doncaster side, Sherwood Rangers. Elma Gadour put Pheasant ahead and Doughty’s first made it 2-0 at half-time. It was on-way traffic after the break with Doughty completing his hat-trick along with two from George Rudd and one from Harry Spooner before Rangers got a late consolation.

Chapeltown RBL needed a very late Morgan Cowell goal to see them pip Rotherham's Thorpe Hesley Village to see all three of our sides in Round 1 make it through. After a goalless first half Luis Afonso-Ferreira set Brandon Whitfield to put Legion in front, but the visitors levelled from a set-piece. They then twice clipped the bar, but it was Chapeltown that won it when Morgan Cowell found a yard of space on the left before firing a rocket into the top corner.

10 SEP - CBC PREMIER – Earl and Stannington keep their perfect records – Royal Earl are the early leaders after making it two wins out of two with a 5-3 victory over Sheffield Sixers. Matt Morton gave Earl the lead when he headed home after a good ball from Richard Tootle, but it was Sixers that deservedly levelled when Aaron Buck squared the ball for Harry Buxton to score. Sixers, who were playing with ten men for much of the time due to injuries then took the lead at half-time when Buxton’s through ball found Liam Davies and he rounded the keeper to score. After the break, the man advantage began to take its toll and after new signing Ethan Hobson had levelled, Alex Rippon and Steve Brammer goals put Earl 4-2 up. Damon Ashall came out of goal and the move worked as he slid Buxton in for his second, but Connor Chappell (right) made the points safe for Earl when he hit a stunner into the top corner.

Champions Stannington Village are level on points with Earl after they also made it two from two with a 4-2 victory at Oughtibridge WM. Stannington took the lead when Luca DeFalco’s cross was turned into his own net by a defender and the lead was doubled when a Tom Staniland corner was glanced home by Matt Reay. It was three just before half-time when another Staniland corner was headed home by Callum Hawksworth. Matt Harrison pulled one back for the home team, but Jon Wall intercepted a pass before curling the ball into the top corner to restore Stannington’s three goal lead. Luke Needham grabbed a second for Oughtibridge, but Stannington went home with the points.

10SEP - DIVISION 1 – Boynton and Jubilee lead the way, while Adam is the apple of Crookes eye – Boynton Sports look very determined to get back at the first attempt after two Curt Priday (left) strikes helped them to a second big win, this time 5-1 over Sheffield South, to be the early leaders. Priday scored his first from the penalty spot after Richie Atkins had been brought down by the keeper and Ethan Wilkinson doubled the lead before Brad Smith’s deflected shot pulled one back for South. Jake Gamban’s bullet header put Boynton back in charge and Priday netted his second before half-time. The second half was a more even affair, but Nathan Davies scored a fifth for Boynton.

The only other team with two out of two is newly promoted Jubilee Rangers after Brendon Reid-Flanagan's double helped them to a 4-1 victory over Mosborough Lions. Danny Barnsley marked his debut for Jubilee with the opener and although it was soon cancelled out by Lions’ Joe Upstone, Jubilee ended the half in front thanks to Reid-Flanagan’s first. Skipper Alfie Smith extended Jubilee’s lead midway through the second half before Reid-Flanagan added his second.

WH Crookes got their season going as a Henry Adam treble helped them to a thrilling 5-4 victory at Southey Social. Although Adam gave Crookes the lead goals from Ryan Whitney (2) and Jamie Hopkins had Southey 3-1 up at the break. Louis Flynn pulled one back for Crookes, but they looked to be heading for defeat when Dan Jenkinson netted a fourth for the home side. Crookes had other ideas though and after Rhema Obed struck their third, Adam’s second and third goals won it for them.

Water Tower and Sheaf House both got their first point of the season when they drew 2-2 with each other. Despite Adam Wragg’s goal for Sheaf, Louis Ballard and Jacob Rickards goals had Tower 2-1 up at half time, but after Tower wasted a chance to extend their lead when a penalty was saved, a Lestyn Jones strike in the second half meant the teams had to settle for a point each.

10 SEP - DIVISION 2 – No chill for Cotts as they pip Winter Green and Cueball also have a narrow win  – Despite a Jordan Ratcliffe hat-trick for the home side, two Chris Salt (right) goals helped Cotts FC just pip local rivals Winter Green 4-3 to be the early leaders. Cotts went in front in the first minute when they were awarded a penalty and Chris Salt sent the keeper the wrong way to score. Ratcliffe rifled home from a quick break to equalise, but Cotts soon went back in front when a quick break by them ended with Michael Blythen finding the net. Cotts were indebted to some good saves by veteran keeper James Abramski, but after he had made a good save the ball fell kindly for Ratcliffe to head his second to level a second time. Cotts went back in front a third time when Harry Shaw’s long throw was headed home by Salt and it was soon followed by a Shaw header from a corner. Ratcliffe headed home his third, but Cotts held on to stay top.

Cueball FC also made it two wins from two as a Matt Herrington double and one from Farrell Cawthorne helped them to a narrow 3-2 win over fellow newcomers Chapeltown FC. Josh Cooke and Max Chester netted for Chapeltown, bit it was Cueball that took the points. Will Hillbert and Tom Cartledge both scored twice to help AFC Wisewood to their first win of the season 5-2 at Royal Oak (Dronfield). Matt Ensor netted Wisewood’s other and although Josh Cooke and Callum Sugden both netted for the home side, Wisewood could afford to have a penalty saved and still take the points home.

Two Kyle Grantham strikes ensured that Norton Oaks kept their unbeaten record with a 2-2 draw at Wadsley FC, which also gave Wadslley their first point. Jck Sanderson gave Wadsley the lead, but close to half-time a Mike Nuttall corner wasn't cleared properly and Grantham tapped in the equaliser. Before the break though Joel Clarke was fouled in the area and Wadsley went back in front with Reece James converting the penalty. It stayed like that until 10 minutes from time when  Laurence Jeffrey Badger's first time cross was headed powerfully home off a post for Grantham's second of the game. Brunsmeer AJW also got their first points of the season with a 4-0 victory over fellow newcomers Steel City Dons. Gaz Murdoch, Liam Hannah, Spencer Rains and Dan Fox goals saw Brunsmeer take the points, but Steel City weren’t disgraced in their first game at this level.

3 SEP - CBC PREMIER – Legion hit Sixers for six and Earl stun Joker – Newly promoted Chapeltown RBL kicked off the new season in sensational style by winning 6-0 at Sheffield Sixers. Last season’s Division One champions look as if they now want to challenge for the CBC Premier title. It took just 6 minutes for Jed Phillips to set Luis Afonso-Ferreira free and he lobbed the goalkeeper first time. A second soon followed when Brandon Whitfield (pictured left) went on a mazy run, beating several defenders before his cross was turned home for an own goal. Mikey Vella then forced the Sixers keeper into a good stop, but Philips was on hand to fire home for 3-0 after 30 minutes. Captain Josh Savage powered through midfield and was fouled, with referee John Reeves playing an excellent advantage, allowing Whitefield to find the bottom corner from 25 yards. Man of the match Afonso-Ferreira then crossed from wide and Vella volleyed home first time to make it five on the stroke of half time. In blistering heat the pace of the game slowed in the second half, and when Dave Millen was fouled in the box Vella stepped up for his second to complete the scoring. Sixers didn’t give up and Lewis Fox produced an excellent one on one stop late on the preserve the clean sheet.

Royal Earl look set to make another title challenge after comfortably beating title rivals Joker Wickersley Youth 4-1. Man of the match Matt Morton opened the scoring for Earl and although Nathan Taylor had several decent chances for Joker they went into the break still behind. Connor Chappell doubled Earl’s lead on the hour mark and Alex Rippon soo made it three. Danny Kemp pulled one back for Joker, but Steve Brammer came off the bench to confirm victory with Earl’s fourth.

Champions Stannington Village were made to work hard to earn a narrow 2-1 victory over newly promoted Woodman Intake. Connor Williamson hit a screamer to give Woodman a shock lead, but Stannington soon levelled when a Seb Robbemond cross was finished well by Sami Eric. It looked like Woodman were going to get a deserved draw until five minutes from time when a Tom Staniland cross was headed home by skipper Lee Johnstone.

The third newly promoted side, Eckington BFC earned a point in their first ever top flight game with a home 1-1 draw against Oughtibridge WM. Both goals came in the first half with Mitch Walker scoring Eckington’s first ever Premier goal to give them the lead, but it was soon cancelled out when Oughtibridge was awarded a penalty and Chas Tunnard sent the keeper the wrong way to score - pictured left is Chas Tunnard scoring the penalty for Oughtibridge.

3 SEP - DIVISION 1 – Jubilee see off Crookes while Boynton and Sheffield South have big wins – Newly promoted Jubilee Rangers pulled off one of the results of the day with a 2-1 victory at newly relegated WH Crookes. Goals in each half by Brendon Reid-Flanagan put Jubilee two up and although Charlie Cope pulled on back Jubilee held on for a deserved victory

Newly promoted Mosborough Reds claimed a point from their Mosborough derby with Mosborough Lions after the game ended goalless. Lions dictated play in both halves, but Reds keeper Luke Fogg made saves in both halves to earn his side their point.

The third newly promoted side, Sheaf House suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of AFC Dronfield. An Alex Platton strike gave Sheaf a half-time lead, but a Ross Dawson free-kick and a Tim Pitt header saw the points go to the visitors.

Relegated Boynton Sports look very determined to get back at the first attempt after doubles from Curtis Priday and Richie Atkins together with Liam Halshaw and Nathan Davies strikes gave them a 6-1 home win over another relegated side Water Tower. The visitors made a brisk start and took a deserved lead with a Jonathon Fusco strike, but Boynton levelled with a penalty and in the final minutes of the half after Tower had a goal chalked off for offside, it was Boynton that got their noses in front. Boynton greater fitness told on a hot day in the second half as they scored four more without reply.

Sheffield South topped the scoring on the season's first day with a 7-3 win over Southey Social. Doubles by Harry Pollard and man of the match Sam Smith were the cornerstone of South’s victory, with their other goals coming from Brad Smith, Jordan Harrison-Rennie and Oliver Maltby. Southey Social replied with two from Aiden Nagi and one from Morgan Kelly, but it was Sheffield South’s day.

3 SEP - DIVISION 2 – Chapeltown get off to a flyer and Cueball also start with a win, while Cotts start in style – Two of the teams new to the League started with victories as Chapeltown FC beat Royal Oak 4-1 and Cueball beat another of the new clubs, AFC Wisewood, 2-1. Josh Price gave Chapeltown the lead on the stroke of half-time and he added a second soon after the break. Ben Smedley and Harry Hurst added Chapeltown’s others, with Jordan Thompson hitting Oak’s consolation. Matt Cowen gave Wisewood a first half lead, but Dan Ashton and Travis Hodgson strikes in the second half saw Cueball go home with the points.

Despite a good display, Brunsmeer started life in the League with a heavy 5-2 defeat at relegated Cotts FC. Reece Rodgers gave Cotts the lead from the edge of the area, but it was cancelled out when Gaz Murdoch beat Cotts’ veteran keeper Jaz Newsome before hal-time. After the break, Chris Salt’s header from a corner put Cotts back in front ,but it was quickly cancelled out by Liam Hannah. Michael Blythen scored a worldy with a 25 yard free kick to put Cotts ahead a third time and this time they extended their lead with second goals for both Blythen and Salt

Another relegated side, Norton Oaks, also took three points with a last gasp winner against Winter Green. Oaks took the lead when George Von Schreiber poked the ball home, but Winter Green looked to be going home with a point after Mark Wilcox-Day levelled the scores It was end-to-end after that, but in the final action of the game Oaks Kyle Grantham took the ball off a defender before squaring it for Khalid Muhrez to curl the ball past the keeper.
