26 NOV – SUNDAY TROPHY – Wadsley make it a magnificent seven – Wadsley FC made it a magnificent seven Blades Super Draw teams in the last 16 of the Sunday Trophy by winning a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw at hosts Stannington Rangers. Wadsley will now entertain Barnsley’s AFC Pogmoor in the last 16. Wadsley controlled the possession in the first half and had a goal defined for offside, but they took the lead 10 minutes into the second half with a Curtis Dennison strike. Stannington came back strong and scored a well placed free kick with 15mins to go, but that was the end of the scoring so it went to a penalty shoot-out. Wadsley came out on top 5-4 after Stannington crashed their 7th penalty against the bar. 26 NOV – CBC PREMIER – Thornton at the double to keep Joker top – Joker Wickersley Youth stayed top after a Ben Thornton 9left) double helped them beat Sheffield Sixs 5-0. Early pressure by Joker saw the Sixs keeper have to make two great saves, but even he couldn’t stop Jakob Pearson scrambling the ball over the line to give the home side the lead. Matt Godley added a second when he latched onto a loose ball in the box and a Matt Claxton header made it three before half time. After the break Ssixs had a chance to get back into it when they were awarded a penalty, but it was saved by Joker keeper Jordan Turner. Adam Daughtrey’s cross from the bye line found a leaping Ben Thornton to head home the fourth and Thornton made it five when he despatched a spot kick after James Hardeman had been felled in the box. Chapeltown RBL climbed back to second after Dave Millen (right) put them on their way to a 3-2 victory over Stannington Village. Stannington had the first chance, but Sam Eric blazed over when well positioned and instead it was RBL that took a half-time lead when Mikey Vella’s corner was met with a thumping header from Dave Millen. The second half started with three goals in the first four minutes. Jay Carter doubled RBL’s lead after a minute, firing in left footed, and the goal of the game came 2 minutes later when Carter beat his man and crossed for Josh Savage to dummy the ball for Harley Wilson to a slot home. Stannington pulled a goal back a minute later with a good Joel Purkiss finish. Stannington pushed harder to get back into it and eventually scored a second when Purkiss crossed for Jack Holmes to head home and they almost equalised when Jon Wall glanced narrowly wide in injury time, but RBL hung on to complete the double over the champions for the first time. Royal Earl also dropped points after a George Rudd double helped WB Pheasant to a 3-3 draw with them. Alex Rippon opened the scoring for Earl, bjut it was soon cancelled out by George Rudd. Connor Chapell hit a terrific free-kick to put Earl back in front, but Rudd produced another good finish to make it 2-2 by the interval. Pheasant took a deserved lead after the break with an Eimar Gadour strike, but a late Tom Roebuck goal rescued a point for Earl. Eckington climbed to third by completing an eight day double over FC Inter with a 3-0 win. A tight end to end game saw Eckington take the lead in the 34th minute when a corner into the box was met by Joe Harris who’s header was deflected into the goal. It was soon 2-0 in the 37th minute, a ball looped up into the air and was met by Owen Ryan to side foot home. Eckington grabbed a 3rd in the 54th minute, a scramble in the box was eventually prodded home by Alister Haydock. Oughtibridge kept their title chances alive after Luke Needham and Chas Tunnard doubles together with singles from Arnie Grayson and Ollie Black saw them to a comfortable 6-0 victory over bottom of the table Woodman Intake. 26 NOV  – DIVISION 1 – Dronfield make Boynton look gLum at last – The Division One leaders Boynton Sports became the last team to drop points this season when a pinpoint through ball from Ross Dawson allowed Joe Lumley to give AFC Dronfield a 1-0 victory over them. Despite that win, Dronfield stayed fourth as Jubilee Rangers stayed third on goal difference after a Josh Jackson double helped them to a 3-1 victory over Sheffield South. After some back and forth in the first 15 mins Jubilee started to take control and were rewarded after some tenacious forward work saw the ball break to Josh Jackson who coolly chipped the keeper to give Jubilee a half-time lead. The second half saw Jackson double the lead with another smart finish across the front post hitting the bar and in, and more Jubilee pressure resulted in a corner which was met by the head of Alfie smith to make it 3-0. Tom Davis scored a consolation for the visitors, but it was Jubilee’s sharpness in both boxes that was the real difference between the two sides. Southey Social stayed second as a Daniel Jenkinson treble helped them beat Mosborough Lions 8-4. Southey opened the scoring after 2 mins when Daniel Jenkinson robbed the centre back and raced away to fire into the roof of the net. Southey were pegged back when they failed to deal with ball into the box and the ball was squared for Billy Gillott to equalise from close range. Jenknson restored Southey's lead when he ran onto a Jamie Hopkins flick on and fired home. Hopkins then made it 3 - 1 when his effort from the edge of the box found the bottom corner, before Jenkinson completed his hat-trick with a quality finish as a cross from the left dropped over his right shoulder and he volleyed home from 6yd to make it 4-1. Mosborough were then gifted a lifeline when Brad Jones dropped a back pass short and the Gillott slotted past the keeper to make it 4-2, but just before half time Morgan Kelly picked up the ball 30yd out and fired into the top corner to restore Southeys 3 goal lead. Mosbough started the second half brightly and Dan Beech made it 5-3, but the Southey subs changed the game. Todd Guest headed home a Dalton Birchall cross to make it 6-3, although Lions looked like they would make it a nervy last 20mins when Adam Pocock scored a cracker from the edge of the box. Southey’s nerves were calmed when Finlay Kew fired home from close range and new signing Carlton Carty raced away to make it 8-4 near the end WH Crookes climbed a place by coming from two down to draw 2-2 with Water Tower, but both teams remain in the bottom three. Two Louis Ballard strikes had Water Tower in charge, but Andrew Fox pulled one back for Crookes before the break. The second half saw Tower do their best to hold on to a first win of the season, but it wasn’t to be as a Toby Kenyon strike gave Crookes a share of the points. 26 NOV  – DIVISION 2 – Brunsmeer Murd-er Wisewood to go top – Brunsmeer AJW went back to the top  as Gas Murdoch put them on their way to a 3-1 victory over previous leaders AFC Wisewood. Taylor Askam and Brad Leather netted Brunsmeer’s others with Matt Cowen scoring for Wisewood. Third place Cueball suffered a second home defeat of the season as an Andrew Swift double helped Cotts to a 6-3 victory over them. Cueball’s Travis Hodgson will consider himself to be unlucky to be on the losing side as he hit all three of his side’s goals, but Reece Rodgers, Swift and Matt Fells gave Cotts a 3-1 lead at the break. Although Hodgson’s second and third brought the home side level, a Chris Salt penalty, a second goal for Swift and one for Jacob Lally gave Cotts the victory that puts them firmly back in the promotion reckoning.A first clean sheet of the season helped Winter Green to a 3-0 victory over Steel City Dons. A Joseph Kenny penalty put Green ahead, Adam Swift hit a second and Ryan Ruddiforth completed the scoring to give Green their second win of the season 24 NOV – Fixtures and Referees for December now shown on the website – The Fixtures and Referees for December are now shown in the Fixtures section. 19 NOV – SUNDAY SENIOR CUP – Currie too hot for West Bretton and Simms at the double for Oughtibridge – An Oliver Currie double helped Woodman Intake to a comfortable 4-0 win at Barnsley' West Bretton. West Bretton had a glorious chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penaly in the first few minutes, but it was saved by Woodman’s keeper Thomas Ahmed and Woodman took full advantage as they went into half time two up thanks to Oliver Currie and Elliott Coles strikes. The second half saw Currie get his second followed by a fourth by Brandon Taylor. Woodman Intake will travel to FC Ship Inn in the last 16. Callum Simms also hit two in Oughtibridge WM's 4-1 victory over Ravenfield Cavaliers. The Cavaliers took the lead in the first minute, but after that it was all Oughtibridge with Luke Needham and Arnie Grayson adding the others along with Simms’ double. Oughtibridge will face fellow CBC Premier side Stannington Village in the last 16. Despite taking the lead when Jed Phillips set Morgan Cowell up to score, Chapeltown RBL went out 6-1 to a very strong Queens United, and Queens will now travel to Riyal Earl in the last 16. Our other remaining side is Eckington and they will entertain AFC Lord Nelson in the last 16. 19 NOV – SUNDAY TROPHY – Salt treble sees Cotts through and a Jackson treble helps Jubilee through with 4 others – Chris Salt hit a hat-trick for Cotts FC as they won the all Division 2 affair at Chapeltown FC 6-2. Reece Rogers, Andrew Swift and Sam Stacey hit Cotts others, while Chapeltown’s replies came from a Shaw screamer when he scored a lob from just inside Cotts half and from Jerome Price after Rooth rounded the keeper and squared for an easy finish. The other all-Blades Super Draw affair produced a shock as Division 2 Brunsmeer beat Division 1 Sheffield South 6-3. Although South were 2-1 up at the break Brunsmeer produced a strong second half and won it with two each for Gaz Murdoch and Liam Hannah along with one each for Dan Fox and Charlie Wheatley. Alex Masterson and a Tom Charlesworth double scored for South. Josh Jackson was another to hit a hat-trick as Jubilee Rangers won 6-0 at Aughton Black Bull. Jubilee started the game bright and played some great football on a very muddy pitch. Adam Darton opened the scoring and Jackson added the 2nd. Deegan Atherton scored a 3rd before half time with a header from a corner and after the break Jackson grabbed his second. Keenan McCormick grabbed the 5th goal with a glancing header, before Jackson completed his hat-trick with a great finish. Last season's finalists AFC Dronfield looked to be going out at Flying Childers when they were three down with just 20 minutes remaining, but a remarkable comeback saw them draw 3-3 and take the tie to a penalty shoot-out, which they won 4-3. A goal from Ben Partner started the comeback and a penalty from Sam Porter made it 3-2 with 2 minutes to go. The recovery was completed with a pile driver from outside the area from Andy Saynor. Joe Taylor, Sam Porter, Ross Dawson and Ty Gunter scored their spot kicks and a brilliant save from Elliott Ellis took Dronfield through to the last 16 where they will face Jubilee Rangers. Boynton Sports went through 5-3 at home to The Stag. Marc Peacock’s volley from a corner put Boynton ahead and Jack Bennett score a second with a terrific free kick. A one sided first half saw Peacock volley another from a corner, Lee Jordan find the bottom corner and Richie Atkins’ deflected effort make it 5-1 at the break. Boynton went off the boil in the second half and conceded two more, but the result was never in doubt. WH Crookes also went through, 3-2 at home to Crown Inn Newhill. Crown struck first but Charlie Cope and Jacob Mattock strikes had Crookes in front at half-time. Crown levelled in the second half, but Crookes won it with an Harvey Allatt strike. Our other teams going out were Winter Green, Sheaf House and Mosborough Lions, while Wadsley FC will try again after their tie at Stannington Rangers was postponed. 19 NOV – CBC PREMIER – Joker go top as Sixs hold Earl – Joker Wickersley Youth won 2-0 at WB Pheasant to go top of the CBC Premier as a Royal Earl missed their chance when a last gasp penalty allowed Sheffield Sixs to hold them to a 1-1 draw. In tricky conditions, Pheasant started well and missed two glorious chances to take lead and in control but it remained goalless until the second half. Joker into the game more and take the lead when a Kallum Nix free kick slipped through the keepers hands on the wet surface. Joker pushed on and following a corner James Hardeman’s overhead kick sealed the victory and top spot. Royal Earl would have gone top if they had won at Sheffield Sixs and looked on course when Joe Paerson gave them a first half lead, but Sixs kept plugging away and with time almost up they won a penalty which Luke Allison put away to earn his side a draw. Eckington kept up their title challenge as another Cam Evans double helped them to 5-1 victory at FC Inter. Eckington took the lead in the 7th minute through a Cameron Evans strike, after the initial effort was saved, but Inter equalised in the 17th minute when a quick break away was fired in from the edge of the box by Oliver Parfitt. It wasn’t long before Eckington regained the lead when a driving run from Alister Haydock finished with him firing into the bottom corner. The second half saw Eckington increase their lead with a Tom Gambles penalty after a handball in the box and good work from Owen Ryan on the right then found Evans in the middle to tap home. Eckington grabbed a 5th in the 75th minute, when a great ball into the box by Evans was headed home by Joe Renshaw at the back post 19 NOV  – DIVISION 1 – Heeley treble sees Southey go second – The day's only Division One game saw two hat-tricks with Louis Ballard's treble for Water Tower proving not enough to stop Southey Social beating them 5-3 thanks to Roan Heely's treble for them. Water Tower took the lead after last man Byron Mullens gave the ball away and Louis Ballard took full advantage. Water then should have doubled the lead with a carbon copy of their 1st goal, but somehow they missed the chance when clean through. They were nearly made to pay instantly as the keeper managed to keep out a Jordan Livett free kick but Livett wasn’t to be denied and on the stroke of half-time he cut inside and his shot squirmed past the keeper to level. Southey got a second soon after the restart as a Brad Jones cross flew over the keeper to give Southey the lead.  Roan Heeley then scored the 1st of his hatrick with a 25yd strike to make it 3-1 and he netted his second to make it 4-1 when he tapped home from close range following a Kieran Hopkinson corner. Ballard then pulled a one back after he turned two Southey defenders and fired home from close range. Roan Heely completed his hat-trick as he beat his man and fired into the roof of the net from just inside the box, but Water Tower didn’t give up and set up a nervy last 10 minutes when Ballard completed his hat-trick with a thunderous free kick past Southey’s stand-in keeper Todd Guest. 19 NOV  – DIVISION 2 – Civil service sees Wisewood go top – AFC Wisewood took took top spot as a Matt Civil treble helped them to an 8-0 victory at Norton Oaks. Wisewood’s others came from Oliver Cam, Wilker Sousa, Oliver Scott, Jack Hudson and an own goal. Royal Oak (Dronfield) climbed to fourth with a narrow 2-1 victory at Steel City Dons. Royal Oak bossed the game from the start made and missed many chances. Dalton Silhossana went on a great run and squared the ball for Liam Ashton to put the ball in the top corner to give Oak a half-time lead and they doubled it on the hour mark with a good Ross Camm goal. Sylvester Ndoora pulled one back for Dons when the Oak keeper could only parry a shot to him to set up a nervy last 15 mins but Oak held on.

12 NOV – SUNDAY SENIOR CUP – Good Evans, Eckington go through along with Earl and Stannington – Cameron Evans hit a hat-trick as Eckington won 8-1 at Nappy's to reach the last 16 of the Sunday Senior Cup. They are joined by Royal Earl who beat Birdwell Rovers and Stannington Village who won a penalty shoot-out, after a draw with Aston Lodge, but Joker Wickersley went out 3-2 at home to Butchers Arms. Eckington took the lead against Nappy’s in the 18th minute when a ball into the box fell allowed James Savage to fire into the top corner. The lead was doubled in the 22nd minute when another ball into the box fell to the feet of Evans who fired home from close range. It was soon three as a cross into the box was met again by Evans. After the break, Nappys got a goal back from the spot, sending the keeper the wrong way, but Eckington soon got their 4th when a good ball played Evans through on goal to lob home & claim is hat-trick. Tom Gardiner claimed Eckingtons 5th from close range after good work down the left and Alister Haydock got the 6th in the 79th minute with a curling finish into the far corner. In the 82nd minute it was 1-7 with Tom Gardiner finishing one on one and the scoring was completed in the 84th minute with Joe Renshaw's close range finish. Royal Earl beat Birdwell Rovers 3-0 despite playing almost half the game with 10 men. Connor Chapell gave Earl a half-time lead from the penalty spot, but Steve Brammer's red card shortly after half time looked to sway the tie towards the visitors. Earl made light of it though and Joe Pearson made it 2-0, before a fabulous delightful chip from Man of the match Jay Evison made it safe. Stannington Village won a penalty shoot-out 4-3 after a 2-2 draw with Aston Lodge. SVFC win 4-3 on pens, Aston Lodge took the lead with a 25 yard worldie in the top corner, but Stannington equalised after around an hour when a Jon Wall corner was headed in at the far post by Dave Shepherd. Stannington then took the lead when a good move saw Joel Purkiss put Callum Hawksworth in on the right and his cross was headed in at the back post by Jack Holmes. That looked to be enough, but Aston equalised with the last kick of the game to take the tie to penalties. Stannington went through by scoring all their first 4 pens from Hobson, Eric, Holmes and Staniland, while Aston hit one over the bar and saw keeper Nathan Ryan (left) save another. Joker Wickersley Youth CC went out 3-2 to Butchers Arms. The visitors were two up before Nathan Taylor pulled one back, but Butchers scored a third before a late Ben Thornton penalty for Joker. Woodman Intake’s tie at West Bretton was postponed. 12 NOV  – DIVISION 1 – Boynton extend their lead at the top – The top game in Division One saw Boynton Sports extend their lead at the top to eight points with a 5-1 win over a Southey Social that had started the day in third place. Southey started the game brightly and were on top, but failed to take their opportunities and were made to pay when they failed to clear a free kick and Marc Peacock scrambled the ball home from close range to put Boynton ahead. Boynton then doubled their lead when Richie Atkins was fouled in the area and Jack Bennett scored from the spot, and they added a 3rd just before half time when Atkins headed home from a corner. The second half was a mirror of the first with Southey pressing but Boynton hit them on the break and when Byron Mullins brought Curt Priday down in the area, Priday picked himself up to convert the penalty to make it 4-0. Southey substitute Todd Guest then chipped the keeper to make it 4-1 and Jordan Livett spurned two golden chances to reduce the deficit further, but after a Southey corner the Boynton keeper launched a long ball which the Southey defence failed to deal with and Alastair Holland scored his first Boynton goal with his first touch of the game to complete the scoring. Up to second is Jubilee Rangers after their 2-0 victory over Sheaf House. Jubilee were back in action in the league for the first time in 4 weeks and they struggled in the first half which saw no goals. After the break Deegan Atherton scored the opening goal with a great header from a brilliant strikers run in the box, before Brendan Reid-Flanagan added a second. Pictured right are Jubilee Rangers and Sheaf House paying their respects on Remembrance Sunday. Up to fourth is Sheffield South after their thrilling 3-2 win at WH Crookes. Sam Smith and Jim Pollard strikes gave South a two goal lead at half-time, and, after the break, Atacan Aydinli added a third. Altough two Josh Hunnam strikes put Crrookes right back in the game, but South held on to complete the double over their hosts. Water Tower claimed just their second point of the season when their understrength side held Mosborough Reds to a 1-1 draw. Despite only having 10 men Water tower started strongly and took the lead with a Jacob Rickards close range finish. Mosborough struggled to create any clear cut chances, but they were gifted an equaliser when a goalkeeping mistake allowed Alix Sorsby's long range effort to sneak in. After that Water Tower worked hard with 10 and even 9 men in the last 10 minutes to hold on to that point. 12 NOV  – DIVISION 2 – Winter Green get their time in the sun, while the top three all win – Winter Green finally gained their first points of the season with a 4-1 victory over Norton Oaks. Leaders Brunsmeer AJW had a comfortable 6-2 home win over Cotts FC and second place Cueball had a much narrower 4-3 victory over Royal Oak. Third place AFC Wisewood took maximum points, 2-0 at Wadsley FC. Tyler Doman scored for a fifth consecutive game in Winter Green’s 4-1 victory over Norton Oaks. Although it was goalless at half-time, both sides played their part in a good game to watch, but once Winter Green got their noses in front the result was never in doubt once. Doman scored twice, with Ryan Ruddiforth and Jack Squires one each, but it was the outstanding Jake Corbally-Lidgett that claimed the MOM nomination. Oaks briefly gave themselves a chance when a Laurence Jeffrey-Badger free kick was put over the keeper by Sean Owens, but it was finally a sunny day for Winter Green. Goals from a Travis Hodgson double, Jack Bailey-Atkin and Matt Herrington proved only just enough to keep Cueball in second place with a 4-3 victory over Royal Oak. Cueball started the game on top and took the lead with a good strike and although Ben Emsley equalised 10 mins later. Cueball quickly restored their lead and it was 3-1 at half-time.  After the break, Royal Oak was knocking on the door to get back in game but their keeper made a mistake and it was 4-1. With 25 mins left Royal Oak changed shape and gave it everything. Jordan Thomson pulled one back following a throw in and 5 mins later a good ball from Callum Sugden allowed Ben Emsley to tap in at back post to make it 4-3. From then was all Royal Oak but Cueball held on for their fifth win of the season. Leaders Brunsmeer AJW maintained their place at the top with a 6-2 victory over Cotts FC. Liam Hannah scored two along with one each for Brad Rains, Gaz Murdoch, Lee Clark and Charlie Clark, with Chris Salt netting both for Cotts. Third place AFC Wisewood kept pace with the top two with a 2-0 victory at Wadsley FC. Declan Pinhorn netted in the first half and Stefan Hadfield clinched victory 15 minutes from the end.

5 NOV – TWENTYTWO CUP – Hopkins treble and Ryan double see Southey and Eckington through – With 6 of the 8 ties all falling to the rainy weather just two were played and they saw a Jamie Hopkins hat-trick help Southey Social beat Wadsley FC 7-0. Hopkins opened the scoring in the first minute with a 25 yard thunderbolt and he hit a second from the same distance to give Southey a two goal lead at half-time. After the break, Jack Dickens set Ryan Witney up to make it three, before Hopkins completed his hat-trick from a Kieran Hopkinson corner. Finley Kew then added the goal of the game by beating two defenders before firing home from just inside the area. A sixth came when Jordan Livett controlled the ball before sidestepping the defender and firing into the bottom corner from the edge of the area. Roan Heeley completed the scoring from close range to confirm Southey’s place in the quarter finals. An Owen Rryan double helped Eckington through at fellow CBC Premier Sheffield Sixs 4-0.Ryan got on the end of a terrific Can Evans cross to give Eckington a fifth minute lead and Ryan netted his second just five minutes later with a low shot at the back post. The tie was as good as over before half-time when Evans netted Eckington’s third. There was no let up in the second half and Harry Bell netted Eckington’s fourth to secure their place in the quarter finals. Action from the game is right. 5 NOV – DIVISION 1 – Dawson winner lifts Dronfield to second – A single second half Ross Dawson (left) goal at Sheffield South lifted AFC Dronfield up to second in the table. The other Division One games fell to the weather 5 NOV – DIVISION 2 – All Division Two games postponed – All the Division 2 games were postponed due to the wet weather.
